They do gameday's for games that will be on FOX or CBS all the time

I’m more familiar with the basketball version of Gameday but if it is similar on the football side, they use the campus atmosphere and students to bring the energy for the show and build excitement. Not sure that would be possible hours away from either team’s campus. Even if it is possible, they probably wouldn’t take the risk that it would happen.

If Notre Dame is on the brink of making the playoffs, I can see Gameday doing the game.
