Sources who don't, to the best of my knowledge, possess the same technical understanding as the credentialed doctors who make the decisions.

Put another way, I think you're an attorney. Would you be dismissive of people getting out the pitchforks because you issued a legal opinion that one of these guys criticizes by way of internet postings? Better still, would you find it strange that the uninformed criticism doesn't just address the opinion but also attacks your capability as an attorney?

I wouldn't rally behind that side in that scenario, and accordingly I'm taking all this medical DQ consternation with a big grain of salt, too.
