Thank god the cheerleaders were on break. Could you imagine how the the Lets Go S U thing they do would have went with the mood in the Dome last night? They may have been booed off the court.

Damn, that would've been a nice bonus. Anything to get that chant the derision it deserves.

On the positive side, the high school band SU brings in for these Christmas games is great - enthusiastic music nerds with more than a little talent...and a ton of tubas. Maybe 10, hopefully sutomcat got a solid count. The real ones, unfortunately, not sousaphones (maybe those are too expensive for public high schools?), but they produced a great sound.

I sat right next to the band in section 104. I made a comment that they were very good for being high schoolers. They were trying to get the crowd going. My one complaint was they were messing up the "Let's go Orange" chant. Other than that they did very well.
