One thought about SRs coming back

Are there grad/masters opportunities that potential returners could take advantage of/the university would continue funding?

I wonder how much variance there is between professions and location. Most people I know with professions requiring degrees are back to work.

Is it still going to be a max of 85 ships next year?
If it stays at max 85 it's going to be a real tough call who you allow to come back.

There will be a limited market for Srs to move to other schools since they will count towards the 85 if they leave.. there will be a bigger market for Grad Transfers who now might have 2+ yrs left to play. if 10 Kids want to come back the school needs to find 500K+ to fund it. Its a giant puzzle.

No Srs who stay dont count towards the 85. But the trickle down for kids who get extra yrs will linger for awhile. Next yrs class(2022) for some schools might be real small

Unless you have a pretty good chance of getting a job, another year of free education seems pretty huge.

I wonder how it's going to financially impact the program. Less money to hire more support staff?

Schools don't have to bring kids back correct? Similar to what Wisconsin did with Spring sport athletes - thanks but we are done with you.

nope. they have a degree so I doubt they feel the need to bring back extra kids for sports that dont produce revenue.

Kids could stay and walk on and pay their way for a yr too.

The school has the money. Unless a kid has a true chance at making the nfl next year, has a job or family money they would be foolish to not take advantage of the 70k education plus training table, plus stipend, plus name and likeness.

What's their major in? That's the downside of forcing fields on some players in order for them to remain eligible.

the job market sucks for grads now and wont be much better next spring. If the kids got degrees they plan on using staying in school isnt a bad idea and hope job market gets batter after next yr.
You make a good point.

There is some wisdom to the idea of staying in school/advancing your education credentials during a time of national economic hardship.

Didn’t Dino say that some seniors already have jobs lined up so he can’t fault them for not coming back next. Not sure who he was referring to
