Bill is the best. Love Syracuse and college basketball dearly and grew up throughout Bill's career. I was actually just thinking the other day that when/if he decides to retire if they could reunite Sean, Jay and Bill for a game. Maybe 2-3 years from now we'll schedule a non conference game between Syracuse and UConn at MSG.

Just rewatched Requiem for the Big East. A must see for anyone who wants to understand how the league, under Gavitt's leadership, evolved out of nothing. An amazing piece of college basketball history.

A very good friend of mine played guard for Raftery when he was coach at Fairleigh Dickinson. He is still frequently in touch with him and was gonna visit him at his home in Florida recently but Raf was traveling.

Several years ago when Virginia won in 2019 Raftery was calling a UVA game and he mentioned my friend on air as giving him some good inside information about uva. This is the same friend I go with to see many uva games both basketball and lacrosse.

He’s got a million stories and said that while Raf had a temper he was a really good guy to play for.

Ran into Bilas one morning (2am) in '05-'06...all I have to say is "take a walk"
