and I'm guessing none in the AP. Beating NC State (# 22 in coaches poll now) will not get us ranked.

Smacking nc state may sneak us in there. The bummer is the 3-2 acc conference record that’d have us up to

Ye, perhaps a smackdown like a 44-20 type of win would get us in.

Coaches poll is largely a joke because none of the coaches actually watch any games. It’s should be called the “Sports Information Directors’ Poll” because they are the ones filling out the rankings each week

No different than the AP. They don’t watch any more games than a coach. Probably fewer.

Yep most of them are covering a game and doing their articles afterwards.

Gotta think we need to beat NC State and then WF to get in. And when we do that we will be probably #23, not any higher.

Couldn’t care less about poll votes.

Let’s nail down a bowl berth. Then let’s work on improving that berth.

Do that and we’ve had a year, regardless of ranking.

Well when you're ranked, you are more likely to get highlights shown and talked about on tv, but I see what you're saying also.

Pittsburgh is so bad. The loss became our great sin. Now we need to reach 8-2 to be ranked. And after that, we can afford losing only to Notre Dame. If losing to BC, the 8-4 record will kick us out of top 25.

Hard to fathom Ohio State gets curb stomped 49-20 by a 3 loss team and only dropped 6 or 7 spots.
