Correct. They were tied for 2nd on two occasions.Rutgers has never finished higher than tied for 2nd, right?

$$$ Offer FSU some additional money via ESPN or conference funds but make it performance based where the top teams get an additional cut. I would much rather the ACC stay together and SU gets a few million less then we end up becoming Buffalo or Hobart.
I'm not meaning to challenge you, but just curious if are you actually hearing this or just kind of your impression based off of all the swirling rumors?
I hope you're right, and agree that it seems Miami and GT are holding the line.
I'm hearing this from supposed insiders on some of the ACC boards. Whether they are or not, who knows?
Cheers,
Neil
If there's one thing I've learned in the past 10 years it's that rarely are any of the supposed insiders right on anything involving conference realignment.
okay, TCU athletic director has already begun back tracking...saying that is what he heard...not necessarily coming from reliable sources...the story continues!
I'm sure they get a whisper from someone who's probably 2 or 3 levels removed from those who really know. But where they really end up wrong, is that it's all preliminary info they get, nothing has been vetted, most of the major conversations haven't even happened. One day later, that news is old.
Those that do post this stuff, either on message boards or twitter, just post away because they know that no one will ever remember them, or their comments. They put it out there one day, there's no look back. End of the day, who really cares what Greg Swaim says he hears. Who? I'm surprised I still remember his name today. It's not like Kirk Herbstreit is putting this stuff out there. It's guys hoping they'll be remembered, but they won't. All people care about with expansion is what's the final end game, they don't care who thinks they broke it.
If FSU wants to play Kansas, Iowa State more power to them...but when the Big East was possibly going to go that way with SU involved we wanted no part of that...why would FSU?
They can ask Colorado, A and M, Mizzou and Nebraska how it went for them.
If FSU leaves they are as stupid as their reputation.
