Open +3 Saturday

I dont go by those sites. I go buy talk with professionals

Would a former starting NFL OL I went to HS who is now a coach count? He agreed with the middle of the pack sentiment as well.

Am I wrong or does it not take a fair amount of money to move a line 4.5 points in one teams direction?

you are missing the pt.. being middle of the pack and winning their side of the B10 is the same thing..

on one side is
Mich
OSU
MSU
PSU

so if they are the 5th best team in the B10 they can win that other side and make you a ton of money. They may well turn out to 10th best team who knows. but that is still middle of the pack..

It's not that crazy from opening lines (typically 4-6 days before the game)

Vegas sets a line they think will get action and then the money tells them where they need to correct it. I know the line in the beginning of the thread said Syracuse +3 but it's one casino in Vegas. Every where else seemingly had SU +1.5 or somewhere around there.

Check this out. It gives the history of the line:

So you are agreeing with me they are middle of the pack then I guess? I wasn't talking money I was talking talent overall and this sense of Purdues program being something special to overcome.

Purdue plays in the B10West ( no Ohio St, no UM, no MSU, no Penn St)which has helped them, thanks to Brohm as well, get out of the B10 basement.

Since 2016-

2016 - Tied for 11th overall
2017 - Tied for 8th overall
2018- Tied for 6th overall
2019 - 7th
2020- 9th
2021- 9th( with their best season in a long time)

Older results in the previous division structure
2015- 14th(last)
2014- 14th (last)
2013- 12th ( last)
2012- 6th-T
2011- 6th-T
2010-8th

This 100%. There wasn’t really ever a +3 line. Those early circa lines are more indications of interest. The first real bets were around +1.5.

there are also the lines that are given to people before the books actually open to the public.

Purdue can’t tackle anybody. This is a blowout . They’re not better than Louisville
