Wasn't there a story about either Sherm or Pearl...that Valvano had him on campus, brought him into the stadium, turned the lights off and had some lights flashing while the radio guy did a play by play of Sherm/Pearl making a game-winning shot? He said 3 other coaches did that for him, yet JB didn't and was upfront with him and didn't do that stuff...and the rest is history. Anyone else hear something similar? I think it was on an ESPN show once.
