Ryan Nassib (West Chester) isn't the only one from the Philly area who will see the field on Friday.

His cousin Joe (Newton Square) plays on kick offs.

Justin Pugh (Holland) is from just north of the city.

Jerome Smith (Bear, DE) grew up about an hour south of Philly.

Jarrod West (Bethlehem) lived 60 miles from the city.

John Raymon (Richboro) and Marcus Coleman (Voorhees, NJ) are also from the area, but won't be playing.

I didn't realize we had so many players from that metropolitan area.

It's a fitting sendoff for Nassib to play his BE finale right near his hometown.

Future starting center Jason Emerich is from New Ringgold, which is about 90 minutes from Philly.

Future SU QB Austin Wilson is from Enola, PA, which is about 111 miles from Philly (near Harrisburg). Who knows, we could have a starting QB from SE PA 7 years in a row if Austin enrolls early and wows the staff in spring practice.

Other former starting QBs from SE PA include Todd Norley, who I believe was from the Central Bucks area, and Perry Patterson from Lancaster, which is between Harrisburg and Philadelphia.
