OT - #2 Baylor Starting QB Done For Season

128 D1 schools, sadly we are going to see this happen a few times during the year.

more than we think? .01%

It should probably also be noted the kid taking over is a 5 Star true freshman; Jarrett Stidham out of Texas. With offers from Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, TCU...you get the idea. I wonder how they would do with our walkon ?

That's for the people who think only SU has injury problems ;)

I would have to think more than .01% of D1 starting QB's have season ending injuries. SU, Notre Dame, BYU, Boston College and Baylor alone is 4%. That's just off the top of my head.

I actually read the post wrong and thought it was Baylor's #2 QB and they were down to the third string. But yes, starters get knocked out a lot. It's rare however to be tapping the walk on QB's.

This is a nice #2 to have though.

Given that we are not going to win the NC this season, I would have liked to see Baylor go all the way as compared to almost any other team as a fresh name on the top would be a nice change of pace. I also think they got screwed last season by not being part of the playoffs. I hope this injury doesn't kill their chances.

I'm in a college fantasy league and Seth Russell was my QB. The numbers he put up each week for me was comical.

Ew no. The Big XII is an abomination to football. I have zero interest in watching that garbage.

#2 baylor starting qb out for season... does that mean this is the 2nd baylor qb our for the season or was his number #2?

Because Syracuse now has what all considered in early summer to be #1 and #2 out for season. #4 beat out #3 and #4 had to sit out a game and half. AND THEN #5 beat out #4.

I'm pretty sure our QB situation in the last year and half is the worst of all time. I think Maryland from 2 years ago may have been similar.

They screw themselves by playing such a joke of an out of conference schedule. If their conference is more worried about money than competition, the Big 12 should be left out when the other four conferences have an extra game against a very good to great P5 team.

I should have stated #2 Baylor's Starting QB Out for Season. It sucks when you're a middling team like SU but it's a MAJOR bummer when you're that close to a championship to lose your starting qb the rest of the reason. Who knows how long Baylor's success will last? This might have been their only shot.

Then again look at OSU last year. They won it all with their 3rd string QB (who is better than 90% of other teams' #1's).
