What a sad story! Losing a parent is hard enough but what a day for it to happen on! My sincere condolences to Dcuse and I wish him and his family strength for the ordeal and happy memories of his dad to lessen the sadness somewhat.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. My dad was a huge Cuse fan and he got me into this craziness that we love so much. Near his end I would read him the stats from the games as he couldn't really watch anymore. He was smiling broadly this year and this has been a wonderful bond for us for my whole life. As always I continue to love talking Cuse sports with you guys.

Tailgate Ivan passed away this past January. On his last day, in his own home, while very ill and need of hospital care he delayed things until the Orangemen had secured the Pinstripe Bowl victory. Your dad sounds a lot like him and the rest of us diehards.

May he rest in peace Dave.
