I think Raycom's role with the ACC is being phased out with the advent of the linear ACC Network, isn't it? I thought ESPN required the ACC to buy back the rights to Tier 3 content they sold to Raycom as part of the deal to land the ACC network. Is this good or bad for the ACC in your opinion? I have no idea.
What I'm thinking too. All 3rd tier stuff will go to the Network. I don't think you'll see anymore syndicated ACC TV games after 18-19 on local TV.I think Raycom's role with the ACC is being phased out with the advent of the linear ACC Network, isn't it? I don't think this matters much.
Lack of ‘free’ local coverage scares me a little. I think that the publicity is important for building a strong local fan base, which is a significant chunk of the foundation for most successful AD’s.What I'm thinking too. The downside is local TV might be less inclined to cover SU as much. I wonder if the coaches shows move to the Network too?
Sinclair and Gray Stations I see getting involved in bringing in G5 and FCS games on Saturday for local channels. They will probably more likely be on subchannels outside their natural markets.
