OT: Bills signing Richie Incognito?

His final year in Miami before the suspension he was a poor player, one of the worst guards in the NFL before the suspension. Rex is more impressed with the "sizzle" rather the "steak". Richie is all sizzle. Richie will make headlines, will bring his "attitude", will be voted the dirtiest player in the league (again) and have that bad ass attitude that Rex loves. But when its time to play Richie has nothing left in the tank. His last year in Miami he played 8 games (really only 7 cause in the last game before the suspension he got hurt in the first half and never returned.) So in seven and a half games he gave up 6 sacks. 3 QB hits and 2 QB hurries. He was one of the worst guards in the entire NFL. Now he sat out a year...I'm guessing his skills didn't improve any.

Bad signing by Buffalo.
The contract is for 2.5M. No way even if he is a backup is that bad

Stern's next accurate assessment of anything related to the Buffalo Bills will be his first.

People had the same character concerns about Brandon Spikes last March. He was voted captain and couldn't have possibly been a better representative of the franchise.

In 2013 (Incognito's last season) he graded +7.2 according to ProFootballFocus. +3.6 pass blocking, +2.3 run blocking. If he had played a full season at that level he would have finished around 5th or 6th best among all Left Guards. I don't have access to the grades of SternFootballFocus but I'm sure they're much more accurate.

He's never been a dominant player but he's always been solid, which is way better than what the Bills have now. I couldn't be less concerned about his attitude. I'm more concerned that this may mean the Bills won't go after Iupati or Rodney Hudson or Franklin.

Which is what the people in St.Louis and Miami said...until Richie blows up and he causes havoc. What isn't up for debate is he gave up 6 sacks in 7 and a half games his final year in Miami. So the +2.3 this and +3.6 that doesn't mean much when he is the guy getting your QB hit and put on his fanny

And then what happens? The Bills release him. Oh, dear!

Not just releasing him, you have a out right circus around your team when he does something dumb. You are the lead story on ESPN day after day. You have a divided locker-room. There is a reason not 1 team signed this guy LAST YEAR...they were all trying to avoid just that.

But believe what you want. Rex is a legendary all time great coach who will be able to make Richie change his ways...lol
