Gets reinstated, they beat Miami, then he gets canned for good. Must of not heard Pitino's comments about him after SU's game. If so, he would have known he was on thin ice.

Totally bizarre situation. How do you get reinstated play 1 game and then get dismissed? Maybe he took money from a local YMCA. Maybe he failed a drug test, then passed a drug test, then failed another drug test? Maybe he told them he handed in a late paper but didn't really hand it in. So many possibilities.

I was wondering the same thing. Seems like it would be difficult to pull off but somehow Chris managed. Well done sir - nice job wasting an opportunity that so many people would love to have.

Sad. Yesterday the kid was an "Important Person". A star on a big time basketball team ready to play in the Tournament. An experience that most kids can only dream of. Tomorrow and very likely for the rest of his life, he is a forgotten nobody.

Isn't this the second player they have had with John Lucas? I thought Chane Behahnan was working with him too. It's sad that kids with so much talent can't get their heads on straight.

From what I heard (maybe correct, maybe not) he got into an off campus fight possibly with a girlfriend Saturday night. Sounds like the kid has anger issues with no impulse control.

The way I read it, and in conjunction with Pitino's statements that 'Chris had done what he needed to do to be reinstated" (I read that as academics-related, possibly), the text being uncovered was what caused the dismissal.

Who knows - probably wouldn't have taken much though. Another complaint from the girl, some words for another player, coach...I would imagine just about anything was going to get him gone at that point. I do wonder though as well...so quick.
