Wisconsin offensive lineman, former top in-state commit enters NCAA transfer portal

Wisconsin redshirt freshman offensive lineman Derek Jensen entered the transfer portal on Thursday.

Wisconsin redshirt freshman offensive lineman Derek Jensen entered the transfer portal on Thursday.

The Hartland, Wisconsin, native joined the Badgers as a three-star recruit in the class of 2024, ranked as the No. 32 interior offensive lineman in the class and No. 4 player from the state of Wisconsin. He was the Badgers' top-ranked in-state commit in the class, plus the only of the state's seven highest-ranked recruits to choose the program. Rob Booker, ranked as the No. 8 in-state recruit, also committed, though he medically retired from the sport this spring.

Jensen redshirted as a true freshman with the Badgers in 2024. He now enters the portal with four years of eligibility remaining.
