OT: Different formula used raises SU ranking

I remember CTO passionately defending the new admissions criteria for SU while others spoke to it deflating the exclusiveness of the private school. The emphasis on reaching out to the low income student has been hotly debated and most feel that billion dollar endowments should translate into better scholarships for those capable but unable to financially attend these institutions. Well, in this ranking derived from a criteria that rates contributions to the public good, social mobility, research and service, SU grades out quite highly. Good to see a high rating. SU was ranked first in this category:

Service staff, courses and financial aid support
Congratulations on that. I would imagine that is not an easy category to lead in.

Good for SU. Other notables are that I am surprised LeMoyne is so low in their category as are the state schools except for Geneseo and Albany. Clarkson didn't do too well. Hamilton did well while my nephews Liberal Arts school came in 4th, so that's cool.

I don't think i want to be high on that list. And I'm sure Yale isn't sweating being lower

Tied with Vanderbilt and Dartmouth and ahead of Yale. It's interesting, to say the least.
