After seeing this story it will make me laugh at anyone who talks about sacrifice and dedication. Shelly’s decision to devote her life to her faith is extraordinary.

Incredibly moving story.

I gave up Catholicism for Lent
(and then for good about 15 years ago.)

But I can only hope that her prayers and sacrifice are a candle of goodness and hope in a blizzard of hatred and callous indifference.

This is a crazy story on a lot of levels. And while I cannot fathom the sacrifice I truly do not understand why such a sacrifice is necessary or needed in this day and age. I mean not seeing your family but once in 25 years?! What’s the point?!
