It's weird what they say about having a shallow booster base because they didn't get good until the 80's. It's not like Clemson was all that good through the 60's and 70's, and was no where near the level of FSU in the '80's, 90's or 2000's. If you can't establish a good base in 35 years of consistent elite status, a run no other school has ever had, how long does it take?
