They don't usually carry 3 QB's - last year was the first time in a long time (Eli's first year?) that the Giants had 3 on the regular season roster.

they carried 3 because they felt ryan wasn't ready to backup and instead ran scout team qb all year. They prefer to only carry 2 but if ryan doesn't beat out freeman they will likely carry 3 again

for the good of the team they should only carry 2 QBs.

last year was a FAIL because they got cute. they thought they were destined for a feb game. thought they could hide a project 3rd QB on the roster.

0-6 out of the shoot put an end to that.

then with all the injuries suffered, he was taking up a valuable roster spot as they scrambled to finish 7-3.

that mistake wont be made again this year.

my friend, he will have to be lights out in the preseason to make it as the 3, and even then im not sure what they would do with him.

he may be traded on draft day for a conditional pick in 15.

What if Manning's recovery isn't going well and they need to have a starter for the interim . If the intention was to trade Nassib , you would think they would have played him at the end of last season , when the season was a wash.

he was sooo bad in practice, the thought of activating him was never considered.

it wouldve ruined his trade value.

right now, some people are saying hed be considered in the 1st for this draft. thats being based on what he did at Cuse and combines workouts. other than a few preseason snaps, there isnt much game film on him. lets move him and get a pick either this year or next.

Eli is going to take every meaningful snap.

and if he doesnt, then id rather see a guy come in with 61 NFL games, 14000yds and 80 TDs over a nobody.

ill support him if he makes it and along the way, i just dont see it.

just another example of scouts and GMs overthinking everything when you could just look at the qb rating

it stinks for him that scouts looking for something to talk about built him up as something he's not

hopefully nassib ends up someplace where he can at least practice
