Whose life would you rather have: Derek Jeter or Leonardo DiCaprio?

DiCaprio. He's friend with Urkel.

Game, set, match.

Leo and Jeter probably nod knowingly at one another and fist bump whenever they cross paths, because they know that they've both got equally awesome lives.

But I'd go with Jeter because I'd rather be a sports legend than an actor.

Jeter. He has all the money he'll ever need and he is going to be treated like a god for the rest of his life. Leo has all the money he needs and gets treated with reverence as well, but the difference is that Jeter is going to be retired by the time he's 40 and can basically just hang out for the rest of his life. Actors don't get to retire that early.

Probably hetero because I enjoy sports... but id rather not be a baseball player...

Enjoying sports makes you hetero?

Actors have to spend their workdays with fellow actors, entertainment industry people, and the peculiar creatures who cover entertainment for the media.

Jeter, then.

On the other hand, Alex Rodriguez is his colleague. So maybe it's not such an obvious pick.

Let's be honest, Leo could retire right now if he wanted. Dude made over $50 million on Inception, and probably makes at least $20 million per movie on average, and we're not even getting into residuals that he gets from ALL of his movie, TV, and commercial appearances. He could never work again and be more comfortable than 99.9% of the people in the world.

I wrote that Leo has all the money he needs. But ballplayers retire in their late 30s/early 40s. Leo is not going to be retiring anytime soon, regardless of the size of his bank account. Actors don't retire at 39.

I would go with Leo. I was a baseball player and love the game. But the travel schedule of a baseball season would be more taxing I think than the 3+ month crazy schedule shooting a movie once a year. Possibly more downtime as an actor like Leo also. I'd have to call the companionship side of the decision a tossup. Add to at 40 Jeter is done with his chosen profession , Leo can keep going if he wants.

Dicaprio lives on a Yacht with supermodels most of the time...7 months playing baseball or 7 months on a yacht with supermodels...did I mention supermodels.

Jeter. When I was a kid I always wanted to play shortstop (or center field) for the Yankees. But... I wouldn't have built that ridiculously expensive house that he built.

Women? They'd probably want to trade places with me. Kidding...kinda.

Spending months with beautiful women or standing in the sun for hours and showering with sweaty guys - hmmm.

LA >>> NYC

Leo.

Lee can pick what he wants to do, and be creative. He, like many many many other actors, will likely move into Producing and Directing, and while that is a job, it is also passion. Retiring at 40 is boring. Hell, not working for 3 months drove me damn near mad.

Plus, if I were Jeter I would have to hate myself.

Easily Jeter. I can't imagine what it was like to be Jeter in NYC during the run of four consecutive world championships. While Leo is extremely popular, I don't think there is anything that he could do that would bring him that kind of adulation.

Athletes wouldn't retire at 39 if their bodies didn't break down. Jeter won't retire because he wants to, he'll do it because he has to. In the same way, Leo could retire if he wanted, but doesn't want to.

I'd go with Jeter. He gets to play the sport he loves in the summer, and vacation all winter. I would also rather be athletic than scrawny.

Leo by a mile.

Jeter will retire in the next year or two. Then he's just another retired baseball player. Legendary and adored, sure. But still - his earning potential will depreciate at a exponential rate from that point on.

But Dicaprio will still be "working" and raking in dough doing what he's done since he was 16 hanging out with Kirk Cameron for a few episodes of Growing Pains for the next 40 years.

Leo has banged just about every Victoria's Secret underwear model. I think it's part of corporate policy that a new model can't be hired until they've slept with Leo.
