Stumbled across this movie on Amazon Prime last night.

Story about a walk-on at Arkansas who, through sheer effort, turned himself into an All-American and first round draft pick.

I did not know the story.

Great family movie.

As a bonus, Neal McDonough ('Class of '88) has a starring role as the brother...

I really can't say enough about this movie. I'd contemplated driving my family 2+ hours to see it when it was in theaters 3-4 months ago, since no local cinemas decided to show it. Didn't work out with my hectic schedule, but it did make for a great Christmas present for my kids with its video release close to the holiday. There was not a dry eye in my house.

In some ways, but Brandon Burlsworth was a much better player. He was drafted in the 3rd round by the Colts and was killed in a car accident 11 days after the draft. I remember when the accident happened and everyone talking about him just being a great kid. He earned his bachelor's and master's degree in his 5 years at Arkansas.
