OT: Interesting article on Maryland heading to B10

Agree wholeheartedly. It is very difficult to find UMd people who like their financial situation or the move that it forced them to make. It wouldn't surprise me at all if a poll found that 80 or 90% of them wanted to stay in the ACC.

If the takeover was found to be , shall we say , not the way it seems, then the ensuing lawsuits by UMD could balance the athletic department for a long time. And they can remain in the ACC.

It would have been more the "Atlantic Coast Conference" if we had kept Maryland instead of Louisville and had Connecticut instead of Notre Dame and brought in West Virginia as a 16th team. You can argue about whether that would have been as good a conference but it would have been a good one and made more geographic sense. Maryland belongs in the Big Ten like West Virginia belongs in the Big 12.
