Activation Lock prevents anyone from wiping it clean and using/selling it. If it wasn't secured with a passcode or Touch ID, then they can still use it but even then without the apple id/password they can't wipe it.

Has a code, and I hit the "lost phone" button on "find my iPhone"

We are going to the phone store tomorrow. I think I need a new one anyway, mine doesn't like to charge all the time... But I did just clean a Buncha lint out of the charger port

Come on, you know how chicks are these days.. can't go 5 minutes without a cell phone. Wouldnt be worth it to her to try a scam, when she could just get another phone. She has more of the monies then I do.
