Also, just one more feather in the cap of the hilarity that anyone cares about the "student" part of the student-athlete... even in big time HS sports.

1. I understand "schools" like IMG and Sycamore are providing an education to high school aged players but they really aren't "high school sports" which is why most of those schools play outside their state's high school sports associations.
2. I follow OH HS football fairly closely. My initial reaction was who the heck changed their name to "Bishop Sycamore?" My second reaction was "Sycamore" is an odd name for a bishop LOL!
3. Someone at ESPN needs to lose their job. How can there be any faith that there aren't other games like this coming up? A cursory fact check would have shown Sycamore to be a sham.
4. IMG will get a true test of an Ohio high school football powerhouse this Friday when they face LaSalle in Cincinnati. LaSalle probably sends 1-2 players a year to D1 but regularly beats the Ohio football factories and is actually in the same league as 2 of them (Moeller and St X). Talent alone will not beat LaSalle.

Just for fun, I Googled "Bishop AROUND(3) Sycamore," and found no reference whatsoever to any Bishop named Sycamore. So apparently, there never was a Bishop named Sycamore. This article says that Bishop Sycamore is an "online-only charter school" and is not affiliated with the Ohio HS Athletic Association. It seems very sketchy to suggest, via that name, that it is a parochial high school.

ESPN needs to look at whoever allowed this to happen. Paragon Marketing does arranges this for them. ESPN will defer all the blame to them, but still they should have there own quality control team.
