OT: LOL at LAL

You couldn't pay me enough to take the Lakers lineup over the Heat. I've said it before and I'll say it again. As a Heat fan I am not scared in the least of the Lakers. They match up so poorly with the Heat it isn't even funny. Heat will run all over them in their 2 matchups this year. Scary part about the Heat is they aren't even close to as good as they will be in the playoffs versus how they are playing now. Their D is still rounding into shape and Lebron is still playing out on the perimeter and not in the low post where he is 100% unstoppable. AND he is almost getting a triple double on a nightly basis. The only thing that can stop the Heat from winning it all this year is a few very serious injuries.

The Heat went about things the right way this offseason. "What's that, we need a Center?" Ok how about we go sign Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis instead. Good luck guarding us with your traditional lineup. You going to put your center on Chris Bosh 25 ft from the basket? Enjoy that mismatch.

Is Spoe just going to let Lebron play facilitator at the top of the key and rest him for the 4th quarter every game, pretty much? I can see him averaging about 22/11/8 this year with 32mpg.

Then when the playoffs come, run the entire offense through Lebron on the low block again? Is Spoe just playing possum in the regular season? He hasn't used Lebron down low at all yet, offensively.

Would you take Howard/Kobe/Pau/Nash over Lebron/Wade/Bosh/Chalmers for THIS season only if you were starting a team?

Why would anyone pass up a lineup that has already proven it can win it all.

That said, the Lakers will be fine. They'll be a lot like the Celtics of the past few years.

ESPN is reporting that if the Lakers play poorly on this 6 game home stand which starts tonight Mike Brown will be fired!

I would absolutely take the Heat lineup . . . I was skeptical of the Laker's lineup before they lost 11 of 12 together

Speaking as a laker fan, if the above is true, I hope they play poorly on this homestand. He is an awful coach. His rotations are laughable. Game 5 last year against okc, lakers losing early in the 4th, he sits kobe and most of the starters, lead for okc goes from like 7 to 20 in 2 minutes. Hey mike brown, your season is down to 12 minutes, you might wanna play your best player for all of them. Maybe he thinks its the same as hockey, making line changes and replacing all 5 guys at once. Awful hire by the lakers.

I'm downgrading my 60 win prediction to 55, too much talent, they'll be fine.

talk of D'antoni coming in... thatll fix it...

who are the replacement candidates?

obviously Jackson
Jerry Sloan has been mentioned
reunite D'Antoni with Nash? why not - this team can't defend anyway, might as well try to outscore everyone

COACK K!!!!

Bring D'Antoni in and run these old men into the ground? I cant see him coaching a half court team.

Man, the makings of this team is a bit of a mess, isn't it? So many nice pieces that might not fit together.

Lala land has turned into the bronx zoo.

I'm surprised it's so one-sided in favor of the Heat in this thread. Sure, they have a championship now, but geez, those 4 Lakers look better to me on paper than the 4 guys for Miami. I think it's the rest of the team where the Lakers come up short, not among the 4 stars. I mean, Bosh and Chalmers over Nash and Dwight Howard? I just don't see that. Kobe and Pau are not quite as good as LeBron and Wade, but Wade is just as broken down as Kobe at this point. I think the Lakers' size, by playoff time, is going to be tough for a team like Miami that doesn't have a lot of size.

Bron Bron is going to stop Dwight from putting up 40/20 on them every night in the Finals? (If the Heat were lucky enough to get by the Knicks)
