OT Looking for some advice on a dog I took in today

there is a Facebook page called Lost Dogs of CNY, you could put a picture and say where you found her and maybe get lucky

Thanks, I went through the entire website plus the one via WSYR.com but didnt see her listed as a lost dog. Unfortunately based on her condition I don't feel her being alone and a stray was by accident.

Nell says on Facebook that you found a home for her. Did you?

* Quick Final Update * Sorry to keep this going but wanted to let those who are interested that we found a fantastic home for "bambie" tonight. Was much more difficult to give her up then I anticipated especially after she became my wifes shadow for two days, but shes going to a great situation with multiple people all of whom seem to be thriled to bring her into their lives. Will post some more details in the morning.

Joyce we did, after a very lengthy search and a lot of help from people all over the area, facebook, and this board Nell's brothers girlfriend located a friend of hers who lives in a house with two couples and another girl all of whom are in there early 20's who fell in love with her when they saw the pictures. We met them tonight to try and vet them and they were beyond thrilled and they ended up fighting over who got to drive her home. They ended up deciding to go right to walmart to pick up god knows how much stuff for her and I can tell she is going to be spoiled rotten. We were so happy to find her a home but we definitely got more attached then we thought we would in two days. We wish it could have worked out here but the situation she is in is perfect. We hope to check up on her in a few weeks and report back. There also making a vet apt tomorrow and we provided them with several days worth of food we have been feeding her to ease the transition.

This thread is another example of what a "family" this forum is. So many people coming together to try to find a home for a homeless dog that was taken in by a poster and his wife. It also made me realize that I am Facebook friends with not only many posters here ... but also with several WIVES of posters (such as Nell, Jeremy's wife, who was mentioned several times in this thread).

Your wife likes to watch woodchucks eat? Did I read that correctly?

She is an animal lover, when we drive by that area there are usually 1 or 2 out in the grassy areas eating. She doesn't actually like to watch them eat but as an animal lover she enjoys watching them in general as we drive by. If it wasn't for that we never would have spotted her near that brush and god knows what would have happened to that poor dog.

Good stuff, Jeremy. God bless.

My golden is looking for a snack if he's still available.

Kidding aside, you're a good man for helping him.

What you, and your wife, and friends did was wonderful. If I could give you a thousand likes I would.
