Jay Harris, a WR from Downingtown, PA, has informed Sparty's coaches that he will not be headed to East Lansing this fall.

Instead, he will seek to realize his lifelong dream (all 18 years of it) of becoming a successful rapper:

Was gonna attach a video, but it's so obscene and devoid of value that even I can't stand it. His eyes at half-staff also told me all I needed to know.

We had a player split to concentrate on music as well, Shutang Mungwa.

Strange how it never made national media outlets though, lol.

I really had high hopes for Mungwa. I hope he does well in his music career.

Was Mungwa a rapper? B/c this guy's rap is full of woman-hating rap-porn. I wouldn't want him on my campus.

And, I don't know how you can have a music career w/o music. Which this guy doesn't have.

Just search 'DatBull4Life' and check for youtubes. You won't want to stay long, trust me.

Yea, Mungwa has some rap.

I agree though, this kid Jay Harris has not got what it takes in rap, imho only. I guess there are some out there that likes what he is doing, ugh, that song was horrid, lol.

I'm sure the smoking must've been what originally attracted Sparty's coaches.

Yeah, one of the coaches said that the parting was by 'mutual agreement' (and with a sigh of relief).

Wonder if they'd have even offered him had they seen that vid beforehand. Who am I kidding? Of COURSE they would have...

Whoa. The story changes before our very eyes. The original article has been rewritten with a new hed: "Michigan State strips local star's scholarship after explicit rap video".

This makes more sense. I suspect MSU may even have given him a chance to take down the videos and rededicate himself to football.

Then there's the article's final bit:
“I’ve always had this in the back of my head, but never had the courage to tell my parents that this is what I want to do,” Harris said.
I'm sure that his parents are thrilled.

I don't know what the big deal is. No way this guy qualifies anyway.

Sadly, you just described most current rap, so there's probably a market for it.
