Not sure if this was posted but did anyone see this? There are times I feel like kids have softened me and made me a much worse sports fans. Then there are times like these -- reading this story -- when I realize kids have saved me from dedicating too much time to something that is, on many levels, completely ridiculous and pointless.

As for the pot o gold thing, listen, I agree its over the top. But you have to do WHATEVER YOU CAN to think these kids feel special. Every top program has facilities, tradition, history etc. What do you offer that no one else does. This believe it or not could be a differentiator. And if it is, it. Do what you gotta do to earn a kids commitment
