Louisville (UofL) played Bellarmine University (local school that won the 2011 D-2 championship) today in an exhibition basketball game. A young man Patrick McSweeney who is a sophomore at one of the local high schools has been battling leukemia for a long time. The coaches for Bellarmine and UofL arranged it so he could start for Bellarmine and score the 1st basket of the game, to fulfill his dream. It's a really neat story in the face of extreme hardship for the young man. Story here: http://www.courier-journal.com/stor...udent-scores-first-bucket-vs-u-of-l/18759371/. Click on the 1st 2 videos. And for those who don't like Pitino. The kid and his family were going to have to drive 14 hrs to Philly for more treatment, but Pitino paid for airline tickets for them all so they could fly.
