It's very, very rare that the kids turn out as good at the game as their fathers. Some don't even want to be. Jordan's kids are a great example. Julius Erving's (Dr. J) are another. Erving's kids weren't even playing hoops at a young age. I remember him in an interview a loooong time ago saying his kids, when they were not yet teens, oldest was like 12, liked soccer and music. He said he was not pushing them to play.

But then there are the Grants, and the Barry's, Dunleavy's, etc. You never know.

Surprised no one has tried to recruit any of Shawn Kemp's bazillion sons.
