This is a difficult argument as it is subjective. Toughness is based on taking risks and not being afraid of the defense. Going for a rebound or diving to the floor is low risk; either you come up with the ball or you do not. Going hard to the hoop takes toughness because you know that you will be hit. Are you strong enough to take the hit and make the shot? K was not strong enough and played accordingly. He hustled and dove and scrapped but was ineffective inside the paint on offense. He compensated with an outside shot but other than the outside shot he lacked the toughness to take it to the rack as a power forward should.Couldn't disagree more. Since when is toughness based upon offensive skills? And if he avoided contact on offense why didn't he avoid it when rebounding? Toughness was not a weakness of his.
On that team, think of Triche or Harris and compare them to K. If points were needed Triche or Harris could force the action because they had the toughness. K could not.
