OT: Paul Johnson wants out of GT

Here's hoping for a BOB-like rant!
That won't happen.

I wonder where he could/would go. Typically not the most exciting offense to root for.

@BFeldmanCBS
Word is #GaTech coach Paul Johnson is not happy with the school. Hopes they buy him out, according to a source.

im pretty sure that pj joins every single ga tech fan in wanting pj out.

would be amazing if AD kept him if everyone else wants him gone (including their former QB from a week ago)

Did I miss something? When did things get so sour there? Anything more than just their mediocre record the past few years?

With the gobs of talent in GA, FL and the Carolinas, plus the allure of being in Atlanta, you'd think GaTech could grow into when Clemson has recently.

fans are delusional and frustrated banging their heads on a decent but not great ceiling. they know they're not getting any better with him. academic standards are tougher than clemson, too, so that's limiting. he's really a sourpuss dude, too. not likeable.

Is the Army job still open? Maybe Johnson can help them beat Navy one of these years...

BTW, FWIW, we had offered at least three Tech commits:

Trey (like the name) Klock: TE from Hummelstown, PA. 6-4, 255

Terrell Lewis: OLB from Ocoee, FL., 6-2, 215, planned on enrolling this January

and Andrew Marshall: C from Cumming, GA, 6-4.5, 270.

The Virginia fans must be pissed! GA Tech is forcing out Johnson, a solid system coach with limited upside, while they are stuck with London for another year. London is getting a fifth year despite a record of 18-31(8-24 in conference). Another year like the last one, and Virginia's program should receive the taunts and barbs we received during and post GRob.

please let them hire some ordinary conventional coach who'll run an offense we know how to deal with

i'm so tired of getting demolished by a team that's never all that great

i'm sure chan gailey would be available for a second spin there!

Maybe they hire O'Leary

Sorry, but I love his offense.

It's a beautiful thing to watch when its run well.

If he leaves it's to our advantage in my opinion.

So many great offenses were derivatives from the basic triple. It still is almost impossible to stop when executed well. But in today's game with so many high scoring offenses it presents a problem if you get behind.

Some D-1 school that can't win and can't recruit would do well do scoop him up. He will get them respectable.

like timonen said "hes a sourpuss"

the local media went against him because he went against the media. it doesnt help ga tech fans approval of him when every time you hear about PJ you hear how much of a sourpuss he is to everyone.

From Coachinsearch,com
In response to a report (see below) that surfaced within the hour, Paul Johnson, via text to CoachingSearch, states, "I have no idea what he is talking about and I'm looking forward to next season. All these anonymous sources are unbelievable."
