The very first of the very few things that I miss about living in CNY (live in Fort Myers now) is the salmon run. I spent every free minute I had in Altmar at the tressel and school house pools! Thinking of planning a week trip up there next year for it.

If you’re looking for a nice place to stay while you fish I suggest the Tailwater Lodge.

Couldn't agree more! Hard to believe that such a place exists in Altmar. (Not meant as a dig to that fine little village.).
