Hey Gang - I come to you with some more big news. Before I go into that, thanks to everyone who has reached out and continue to reach out. Surgery will be towards the end of this month and I am staying upbeat/positive! A lot of the people on this board have been a reason for this. Many, many thanks.

Now, let's have story time. Many people know that some nerve damage took contact sports (along with the ability to play football away from me). The one sport that I had always played and was told I could keep playing, was tennis. Now, there are not too many 290 pound tennis players out there, which made me quite the scene to watch. After walking onto the tennis team at Keuka College during my time there, I was pushed by coaches to take control of my weight, and ended up becoming a very good tennis player for the Keuka Wolfpack (what used to be the Keuka Storm) - evidence being in this article here: Roe setting records at Keuka. Tennis and football have always been passions in my life, along with motivating student athletes.

With tennis being a big part of my life, I thought about getting back into the "swing" of things and coaching tennis. Some opportunities came about, and I am really proud to say that I have was offered and accepted a job as the Head Men's & Women's Tennis Coach at Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana. I'm really excited to enter the collegiate ranks as a coach and I am PUMPED to start getting in front of recruits and selling them on coming to play for me. It's a great opportunity and I am excited to be moving from Raleigh to Richmond. I just wanted to keep the family here informed, as it's great to hear about accomplishments. If any of you have children, family members, or neighbors that excel in the classroom and on the tennis courts, hit me up. Would love to chat with you. Now comes the fun part in finding some real estate in Indiana! Exciting times coming. This is the exact reason why you don't hang your head when you get bad/unfortunate news. You may end up missing on an opportunity that you never expected. I'll post the press release as soon as the EC athletic website posts it! Thanks again for all the support!

Richmond, IN is my wife's hometown! I'm there on the regular with the in-law family. I am floored right now, that is amazing.

I already mentioned this, but now you have to get my school on your schedule for next year. Our coach played D3 tennis in Indiana, after all, so the connections are there.

Congratulations on the new job. I toured Earlham College on my way back from visiting my daughter at Notre Dame last fall. Nice small college in a small city not too far from Cincinnati, Columbus and Indianapolis. I'm pulling for you on both fronts.

Will definitely have to get together!

I'll not even pretend otherwise, there is not a whole ton to do in Richmond. So, maybe we can catch a game at the local BDubs or something once you are set up there. My wife's family knows everyone under the sun in town, so if you ever need connections within Earlham, Richmond Highschool, etc. let me know. I live an hour away from Richmond in the Dayton area, I've been thinking about sending a bat-signal out to local Ohio SU fans on the board to gather for an Orange event... I'll expect you to be included! P.S. Lawrinson14 can you whip me up an Orange-signal?

That's awesome JB ~ congratulations ~ you will be an awesome coach!

BTW, you're only about two hours away from Columbus, and it's a straight, boring drive. Until you get into Columbus, whose roads are permanently under construction.

You deserve it man mad congrats. Mad thanks for all the incredible material for OG as well!!
