OT - Stooges movie

The movie has a few funny scenes...despite reliance on jokes that will date it (like an appearance by Snooki).
But even if it was great...you'd look at it and say, "What the h---? Three guys
impersonating the Stooges?"

What they should do is get the original Stooges shorts back on TV.
We've got to start thinking about properly educating our kids.
An entire generation will have no appreciated for the Stooges...The Little Rascals...Abbot & Costello...The Honeymooners.
It's tragic, really.
The discarding of the height of American culture.

I have been very surprised how much younger people know about the Honeymooner's and The Little Rascal's. Just the other day a reference to Alfalfa was made at my physical therapist's office and two twenty something's started going back and forth about their favorite episodes and character's. One of my golf friends is in his twenties and has the entire Honeymooner's collection.

At one point Sean Penn (Larry), Jim Carrey (Curly) and Benicio Del Toro (Moe) were cast in this movie. They must have known this would be a steaming pile of poo and run for the hills.

Probably would have attracted a lot more support if they hired this Stooge as Curly

That her face rings a bell joke is so old and not funny...yet THAT is the bit they feel is the best they have to offer..

All Stooges jokes are old and corny. They were vaudeville on the big screen. If they pack the movie with stupid humor I'll be rolling in the aisles.

I do find their choice of advertising messaging to be a curious one.

Seems like they should have put Kate Upton in the trailer since she's the flavor of the month. I know guys that went and saw that other Adam Sandler movie solely because of Brooklyn Decker.
