OT - Strength Coach Salaries

Yea, but he is Dino's bouncer. EVERY head coach has a goon by his side. I love and value what S&C coaches do but the whole goon by their side thing is a bit cheesy. Started in ghe NFL about 10 years ago. Now, these head coaches roll like rock stars. Run on and off the field with these guys, they are in charge of the coaches "get back" in case they fly on the field over a call. Its all outrageous though, come on , over kill.

ALMOST as cheesy and dumb as coaches running on AND off the field with state police escorts. Come on, gimme a break. They are fb coaches, not high ranking politicians or military. Its a fb game and sooooooo cheesy. Those clowns don't even have jurisdiction...lol.
it's not anything i care about but...i agree

Bam Cory Parker does a lot of the other sports training. He trained my kid for about 6 years. Form master. Everything had to be perfect. Played de at Maine I believe. Great guy. He was with football staff I think in p years.

Corey’s a phenomenal guy... he is there and well, I saw him just a couple weeks ago.

Have you ever been swarmed by “fans”? Have you ever had a large crowd pin you in and condense on you?

I promise you that it’s a very intimidating and threatening feeling. If it was something that someone had to endure consistently, I would not blame them one bit to have as much protection around them as possible.

People are idiots, you can’t trust idiots. Especially 1000’s of them.

I honestly don't know what to say to this post...

Give me a few hours to figure out how ridiculous and uninformed this post is. I will get back to you.
Exactly. Cringe-worthy.

Yes he is. Hilarious to talk too.
Just curious who your son is? I spent years with Corey myself...

This was back when him and Mike Gerber first opened Strength-In-Motion at the old Fayetteville Mall... it was a who’s who of local athletes at the time doing college level S&C in high school long before it was popular. Non-coincidentally almost everyone there went on to have success in athletics.

It’s funny, when I saw him a couple of weeks ago, he hadn’t seen me in probably 12 years and he remembered exactly who I was immediately. I always find that very impressive, especially when you work with so many kids day in and day out.

I feel like he reads Trump's tweets for inspiration

Austin Shuster. Been training with him starting at place on onandoga hill next too boat place. Sweet coached him from Weedsport also. Then he went too the place in east syracuse rico s I think was the food place next door. He is about 5’9” Italian looking kid. I was the over bearing father watching and learning as I brought all that Cory taught me to Central square. My bud Mike Ransoms kid Alex Ransom also trained there with Austin. Cory used to make them do hypers with 100 lob dumbbells and the boys were like we can’t do that Cory game em the wtfff stare and called them about 5 names I can’t imagine putting on here and they did it all the time while I was dying laughing. He tells ya how it is. Just talked to him yesterday.

Lol.

Anybody but the players. Coaching salaries are a joke

I don’t know if he’s still there but a few years ago he used to also work at the 481 sportscenter on collamer road doing S&C with the soccer players who trained there.

Hicks gets paid in food vouchers and dunkin donuts coupons

Yes my youngest son trained with them too for about 3 years, almost 20 years ago. My son is 33 now. It was an excellent program. If I recall when Corey was at SU before joining Gerber , he worked mainly with SU's basketball team.

100% - he still had a dual role I believe even when working with Mike.

I started with them their first year (35) when Mike was still the primary coach. By the time I left it was Corey’s show.

About the same timing. My son started when Mike was the head too and was there when Corey headed it. My son left a few months after they moved to Onondaga Hill - was a long drive to get there.
