Great job Syracuse futbol team. I would love to see them in the College Cup.
What does the college soccer playoff look like? 16 teams? Home field games? Etc

As someone who has zero interest in soccer (and it's awesome we're #2), the most I got out of that is that Georgetown still sucks and I hope we get a chance to curb-stomp them.

Your mutha's a Hoya.

If you're at all interested in the sport of soccer, the games are very fun.

I found it. 48 teams. 25 automatic bids. First 4 rounds are played at higher seed. Home playoff games!! Final four is in Cary, N.C in December this year

And if I remember correctly, the Final Four is on ESPN Networks and Championship is on ESPN. Many of the regular season games are shown on TWC or WatchESPN and if you're in the area to see the games in person, admission is free!

Ever since they went on sweet 16 run two years ago.. Coach Mac been doing a great job. Hope this continues and make a deep run.

This is a great story! People can bad-mouth Gross all they want, he has done a tremendous job with the non-revenue sports.

Bingo.

Our non-revenue sports were largely terrible under Jake. It was embarrassing.

Gross has done a great job of building an "Athletics" Department, not just a "Men's Basketball/Men's Lacrosse/Football" Department.

Its like FCS football 48 teams and then home field advantage to the higher seed till the Final four at a neutral field.

Game is streaming on the radio

That is like winning 42-3 in Football. Great job guys.

I'd say even more than that to be honest. 4-0 is a whitewashing. Similar to GT game for us last year.

I don't know how scheduling these late season matches against mid majors is going to help us in the Tournament.

But being more serious, following the game on Twitter to start the second half was crazy. Goals in the 50, 53 and 58 minutes, that must have been demoralizing for the plucky Huskies who managed to stick with the far superior Orange for a half.

UConn has been a major power in soccer for decades. They're having a rough season, but this is still a really good win for SU. Also great to see the offense pick up a bit these last few games after the string of 1-0 wins.

Amazing.

I agree wholeheartedly with the observations already made - Dr. Gross has done an outstanding job with our Olympic sports.

He deserves tremendous credit for that.

Eh. It's nice, I just hope we're not paying the soccer coach more than our FB co-ordinators.

For those bashing Jake C, if he tried to pay a non revenue coach 350k, Buzz would have hung him on the quad at high noon.
