Was bored, thought I'd ask. My list :

Sky dive

Deep see diving

Go to space

Punch Jim Burr, Ed Corbett, John Cahill or Tim Higgins in the face or dink.

Club a baby seal (jk cto)

See the worlds greatest landscapes (not a huge fan of architecture but of natural wonders)

Go on a safari and tranq dart a lion or elephant.

Get into an epic sword fight like Westley and Inigo Montoya in The Princess Bride.


There are others I just need to think a bit more.
 
Surfing. Never done and I'd really like to.

Heli-snowboarding but I'm sure I'd be heli-terrified once they dropped us off.

There will be others. These are two off the top of my head.

I've been pretty lucky in doing things I've wanted to do, but maybe I haven't aimed high enough.

Go to Galapagos Islands and Israel (done).

Visit all 50 states (will attain that goal next month when I go to Hawaii).

Walk the Great Wall of China (done).

Meet a President and a Pope (done).

Go to a World Series, a Super Bowl, an NCAA Final Four, a college football national championship game, an NBA Final, the Olympics, the Masters, and Wimbledon (done).

Fly the Concorde (done).

Live in a house on the water (done).

Really can't think of anything else ... except for maybe becoming a decent golfer (but it's a bit too late for that).

I've had a pretty happy life.

Addendum (courtesy of PhillyDad who reminded me of two memorable things I wanted to do and did, but didn't include here because they were "one-time" opportunities in the past): Attend Woodstock and participate in Martin Luther King's 1963 march on Washington.

cto, that is a kickass list you have, and it's even more impressive that you've checked so many of those things off! I'm jealous that you flew on the Concorde. I've been into planes even more and longer than I've been into SU basketball (and that says A LOT!!!), and I would have loved to have flown on that beautiful bird. I have to wonder if we'll see another supersonic passenger plane in my lifetime (and I'm only 32!). Anyway, let me know if you need any info on Hawaii for when you head out there. My g/ and I lived in Honolulu for several years. We visited Kauai, Maui, and the Big Island, and I flew cargo planes into Molokai and Lanai for a couple of years, so I know a little bit about those islands too.
 
I've long wanted to see what it would feel like to bounce off the ropes in a pro-wrestling ring and maybe drop kick someone afterward.

Write a book.

I'd also like to do something of note that no one else has done.

I can't think of much else right now, but at least I didn't give the answer the neighbor in the film Office Space gave when asked a similar question.

Speaking of cargo planes... a C130 was circling syracuse yesterday at around 4. I thought maybe is was TexanMark preparing to fire on the city.

Holy Cow, there one item on your list that I have actually done -- go to Hawaii. I have been there three times. There are three states that I have never set foot in -- Alabama, Arkansas, and believe it or not, Connecticut.
 
Haven't ever taken the time to do this formally but here is a partial list off the top of my head...

Break 80 on a decent golf course. (Done)

Get a hole in one. (Done)

See SU win a national championship in basketball in person. (Done)

See SU win a national championship in football in person. (Not done)

Visit China. (Done)

Visit Europe. (Done, though I have only been to England and The Netherlands. Need to at a minimum add France, Italy and Germany to the list.)

Attend the Masters/walk Augusta National. (Done. The course was one of those rare times when huge expectations were not only met by exceeded).

Climb all 46 of the high peaks in the Adirondacks. (Not done. So far I have one done. Need to step up my game quickly on this one before I become too decrepit to be able to do it).

Walk the Appalachian Trail. (Not done; this one will need to wait until I retire).

Attend the other majors in golf: The PGA (done), the US Open (done), the British Open (not done).

Attend a Ryder Cup. (Done; Oakland Hills on Sunday; the Euros thrashed us, it was quite unfortunate).

Attend a soccer game in England (Done; saw Portsmouth play Southampton; Fratton Park is awesome and kind of scary too).

Attend a MLB game (Done).

Attend an NFL game (Done).

Attend an NHL game (Done).

Attend an MSL game (Not done but I attended a number of NASL games).

Attend a World Cup match. (Done several times when the US hosted in 1994)

Attend a major bowl game (Done several times including the 1988 Sugar Bowl).

Play Bethpage Black (done), Oak Hill (done), Pebble Beach (not done), Spyglass (not done).

Go on a golfing vacation in Ireland and Scotland and play as many links style courses as possible. Would have to include the Old Course at St Andrews and Carnoustie. (Not done)

Write a book (Not done).

Ride a bike or a drive a car across the continental US. Most interested in the route Lewis and Clark took and the path of the Central Pacific. (Not done).

I have a lot of work to do.
 
My list is not as cool as CTO's but they are simple.

1. Snowboard every continent- Europe and N. America- done. Asia, S. America and Australia are left.

2. Get married to the woman of my dreams- done

3. Have a family- practicing but nothing yet

4. Play football for SU, was not big enough for D1, although I still have 1 year left of eligibility and I was a hell of a long snapper.

5. Go heli skiing- done

6. Hole in one on the golf course- not yet

7. Meet CTO- because her list is way cooler

Cannot believe you've been to North Dakota and Mississippi --- but not beautiful, nearby Connecticut!

I know shaving was optional for many women at Woodstock, but I had no idea that women embraced facial hair that much during that time as well. And trimmed it...
 
My bucket list is pretty unrealistic - I would love to time travel - see the dinos and see what the future holds for mankind at various future intervals both short term (next century) and long term (will we still be here in a million years).

I have been in many states on work-related trips. I got with a half mile of Connecticut on a field trip to Rhode Island wetlands during a Society of Wetland Scientists meeting years ago, but I could not convince the bus driver to take a short detour. I tried.
