Type in any two pro athletes in history, and this database will separate them by 6 or less athletes.

http://www.slate.com/articles/sport...nect_any_two_athletes_who_ve_ever_played.html

I think I may have stumped it.. I typed in Honus Wagner and Fab Melo, and they are separated by 8.

You can do any two hockey players with each other (that sounded weird), but no hockey player has ever played a second pro sport.
I'm sure Chris Drury played Little League with or against someone at some point, right?

Clearly, Danny Ainge, Drew Henson, Bo Jackson, Brian Jordan, Deion Sanders and Dave DeBusschere are going to be relied on heavily.

I got 11 by matching Dickie Flowers, who played a single season with the Troy Haymakers in the 1871 National Association (the first fully & openly professional baseball league),with Henry Sims, who played in exactly one game last year with the New Orleans Hornets

Yeah, I tried Mark and Dan McGwire and it was only 3 degrees because of the St. Louis Cardinals.

Apparently, you cannot connect Dave Bing and Tyler Ennis. Also apparently, Tyler Ennis is a hockey player.

"There is no link between these two players. No professional hockey player has ever played at the top level of a different pro sport."

Chuck Norris can be connected to anyone in history by less than 1 athlete. It doesn't matter that that's not a logical thought.
