Many, if not most of the names discussed as (realistic) potential hires have not fared well at their new gigs besides Gill, including Mike Locksley, Skip Holtz, and Randy Edsall.

Highly doubtful.

Remember, KU fired Mike Mangino (who was very successful there) because of alleged verbal and physical abuse of players.

Why would they turn around and hire Mike Leach, who was fired from Texas Tech for almost the same reason?
