OT: Ville schedules Indiana in football, hoops

For those who think SU should be scheduling lesser P5 schools in football

I think Illinois would've been a great home and home for us. We made waves recruiting Illinois last year, though Moskal ended up leaving. I think if we dominated that area (Illinois, Indiana, Purdue etc.) we'd have possibly a slightly easier job competing for recruits in the midwest, especially with how hard it is to beat out PSU and ND.

I'd love to see us play Illinois. If only because I have a niece who goes there and her 2 brothers are graduates.

On another note, whenever I see Ville, I just assume it means Jamesville. I mean I know Southwood has expanded since I left, but I thought that was biting off a bit more than they could chew.

This would be like us playing Rutgers. 1 game at SU, 1 game at RU 1 game at Metlife, and then 3 basketball games at MSG.

Not really as Met Life and MSG are much closer to RU than they are to SU.

They are playing 1 FB game at Lucas Oil in Indy, 1 FB game at IU and 1 FB game at UL and then 3 BB games at Lucas Oil.
I get UL isn't far from Indy at all but with our hoops fans those MSG games would be SU home games and the Metlife FB game would likely have more red than orange.

The only close P5 team SU could have a UL-IU type deal would be the RU deal I described.
