Wake struggled through Clawsons first couple years just like we are. It's a process that they are further along in. 3-9 in his first 2 years at wake before winning 7 in year 3. I'm sure Wake fans were questioning the hire after the 3-9 year 1 start. I'm sure the questions turned into a lot of doubt and panic in his second 3-9 year. Lo and behold, in year 3, when his recruits that he picked for his systems became major contributors, they go bowling. Now they're taking the next step in the process, and not only bowling, but getting some national attention.
We'll be there...patience.

The Wake offense will return to earth next season when Wolford is gone.
BTW, for comparison we have scored 175 pts in ACC games so far this season, playing with a back-up QB the last 2 games. We scored 25 pts on the road against NCSt; Wake put up 30 at home against the Wolfpack.
On the opposite side of the ball, our defense has yielded 255 pts in ACC games thus far, 102 of which were in the last 2 blowout Ls; the Wake D has given up 201.

Wake and BC were struggling their first couple years under their current coaches.

I like our upside better than both of theirs down the road.

BC had another under 400 yd offensive day and thats with a 200 and 100 yd runner. we need to figure out how to stop the run quick next week. they got a real RB though and that saves them.

Yup. That was disheartening. The first two plays of the game, we missed about 10 tackles combined. It was absolutely ridiculous, and made it obvious right away that we were going to get hammered.

No idea if Finley goes. I just dont see why he wouldnt considering the talent they lose and the spot he might get drafted. he is top 6-7 right now, how much more does he go up with another year ?
