Me personally, I go with Argo. I didn't like the Dark Knight Rises nearly as much as other people did. It was 2 hours and 40 minutes of meh for me. Argo is a good flick, maybe a bit too serious on a night like tonight, but that's my recommendation.

They are selling Argo as based on true story...about 5% of the story is true. If you do watch the movie when done google the real story of Argo.
