There will be another 5-10 to join that list. These schools are currently at, or slightly over, .500 but still have most of their conference slates ahead of them.

In short: a P-5 tournament would be a sad affair with only 16 teams. I just don't see that filling a football stadium for the finals. Maybe it's profitable, but it's not the revenue generator that the the current tournament is.

A P-5 lax and hockey tournament would suck as well, since many of those sports' power schools would not be included.

The only short-term solution is for some leniency for the P-5 within the NCAA structure. Allow for football division/championship freedom and full-cost-of-attendance stipends.
