Sportscenter is still around?
I haven't watched Sportscenter in a million years. You could argue that it either ruined sports or made them better. Every kid wanted to be featured on its Top Ten list, so it caused them to become individualistic "showoffs", but it also made a lot of kids better athletes, pushing them to greater heights to try and accomplish new things.

No idea why there is SportsCenter hate. It gives you game recaps and scores. It’s the same as it ever was. Simple and useful.

Stop being weird, guys.
Let's see. They show highlights of the Lakers vs the Jazz in Utah. They will show LeBron six times even though he is not suiting up to play, and no highlights of any Jazz players even though Utah wins. Pretty standard for ESPN.

Same as the 90’s. Star players get star treatment. I don’t know of any sports podcasts or shows that ignore the stars.

Ehhhh, I remember they’d show highlights of EVERY game, even like Detroit v Baltimore baseball, I stopped watching when they started focusing on one or two guys an entire episode.

Maybe it’s different for baseball. Sports don’t exist for me during baseball season, so I can’t say. They show all of the NFL and NBA games. The statement that they ONLY show highlights of the stars in those games I took as hyperbole. They don’t show highlight of a Lakers game and actually only show Lebron.

Issue is you can see every highlight on Twitter or online the second after they happen, so highlights don’t draw eyeballs anymore, to replace it they increasingly focus on feature news and upcoming games, if they went back to only showing highlights of every game I don’t think any additional people would watch.
