Our game vs FSU compared to VTech's game vs FSU

Sucks that we didn't play FSU out of the gate because I am convinced we would be in the Top 25 by now. VTech wins and all you hear is how Bud Foster is a genius, VTech's speed on defense is awe-inspiring and VTech is a solid team. VT jumped from 20th to 12th in the AP poll. What do I hear on the radio all day today - how FSU is a mess. No comments on SU's play or how we manhandled them similar to VTech. Not one mention of our defensive coach and/or our plan. We got 2 stinking votes in the AP poll because perception (or more accurately the reality) of FSU between the first week and the third week has taken some of the shine off of our victory...and it sucks.

If we didn't the bed in the 3rd qtr vs WMU i think they'd be getting a lot more respect. WMU hanging 42 and 600+ yards of offense really hurt the national perception. Even after yesterday it was brought up anywhere you looked on twitter and reddit. I know those are awful places for real football knowledge, but that's what the common fan saw, and i'm sure half the people who vote in these poles.

Yup. It was “how could FSU only score 7 against a team that gave up 42 to WMU. Wow FSU sucks.”

It’s ok though. That chip on our shoulder is helping us IMO. Can’t lose it.

We’ve plaued one bad quarter all season. If Dungey played the 3rd Q against WMU or Tommy was able to be as effective as he was Saturday, then no one is making that argument.

We’re going to annihilate UConn. And Clemson I have a feeling that the score is going to be close.

We all know who won last year but are Clemson really taking us seriously? All their fans are chalking it up as an automatic win. They made the playoffs so that loss didn't really 'sting' or have any consequences. There is no trophy on the line (them and BC have some civil conflict type of 'rivalry' with a trophy.)

They couldn't even put the knife to the throat of A+M who I don't think are very good and could easily have lost that game. 2 QB system works to our advantage don't think they will have chosen one guy by our game.

One odd thing about the VT and FSU game is the last rushing TD scored by SU seemed to be ushered in by a DB who seemed to...let's just say...not motivated in tackling the guys with the ball. It was nice to pound them into that type of submission. Keep it up boys.
