Our offensive coordinator moving forward

Always put the worst “coaching” coach who can recruit as the TEs coach.
There isn’t much coaching for college TEs. They are utterly underused in college football.
The OL coach can teach TEs to block and WRs coach can do the receiving drills.

We won't land those recruits anyways until we have Taj Majal facilities to overcome location, weather, record, etc.

Dismal outlook I know but factual.

Not really. “Weather”...we play in a Dome. This is an advantage over all of the other schools that get crappy weather that play outside.

I mean weather as in attractive coeds walking around campus not wearing snowmobile suits half the year. Not the actual weather we play in.

Good God, we've been through this a million times...weather is FREAKIN' IRRELEVANT! If it mattered, PSU, ND, Michigan etc. etc. would never get any recruits.

Believe it or not, it is relevant and it's used to negative recruit against SU all the time.

Those are large schools with huge dollars and are 3 of the biggest brands in college football, and all 3 I would consider selector schools almost. To them weather is irrelevant, to SU it is absolutely relevant.

Navy being 8-2 is irrelevant. The offense is scoring more points with better o line play so lynch will be safe for another year. The entire defensive coaching staff besides our florida recruiter monroe needs serious evaluation on

It's also in american so it's basically jv
With 28 points v Wake, it will be the 3rd best Offensive season on the hill going back to 2004. 2018 and 2012 were better.

1 of Cavanaugh or Lynch must be removed from their current role. The funny thing about Canvanaugh is I was more understanding for him prior to him improving the line play. I was of the opinion that he just didn’t have the horses this year - basically a gap year. He clearly did have the horses to at least have a serviceable line based on the past couple of weeks. Which brings me to this...I’ve seen it mentioned where Cavanaugh didn’t want Ryan Alexander and was overruled on it. So was he forced to start him? If so, then I can’t really blame him for it taking so long to turn the line around because it took Alexander quitting for the line to turn around. So if Lynch is on the hook for that as well, then maybe Lynch is the bigger problem.

Either way, one or both need to go. If it’s Cavanaugh, then give Lynch the option to go back to OL or send him packing too. That way the new OC can hire his own OL guy.

Whoever was responsible for Jordan not playing at the beginning of the year and throughout the year needs to be gone.

Do you really think you could demote Lynch and bring in a new oc and have them work together?

There’s more than just running the ball. He’s 165 pounds. You have to block in the backfield and our QB was already getting mauled.

Didn't say he had to be the main running back. Should have been used to return kicks, and as a slot receiver. They needed to find ways to get him in games. Riley and Johnson gave us nothing all year, couldn't catch, block, and lost yardage every time we tried a reverse.

they are trying to preserve his redshirt i believe, so i expect him to not play saturday

That's not exactly true. Dino's first season (2016) would still end up better than this year. (I'm assuming you're only basing this off of PPG since you didn't elaborate at all).

It doesn't really make sense to compare years that Dino wasn't the coach. The previous staffs didn't game plan prevent defense shootouts. It's also difficult to compare due to different schedules. Our schedule this year was a joke and we still crapped our pants.

I don't feel like digging it up but if you really want to compare you should look at efficiency rankings for each season and point differential.
