Based on him having already graduated, yeah this is a walkon, my guess is fran saw an oppourtunity for a backup on the offchance of an injury to Stonehouse or something, also fun fact, I beleive he also played fullback, Middle Linebacker, had a 200 yard rushing game and is a Western Pennsylvania champion at Javalin, he also wore 44 in high school.

In terms of the NCAA it doesn't matter if he is a walk on or not. There is no scholarship limit any more. The only limit is the roster limit of 105 and walk ons count against that number.
Wildhack did say that he and Fran agreed to stay at 85 scholarships but based on current roster that does not seem likely.

Maybe it’s 85 with full scholarships and the remaining 20 are partial scholarships. In the future I could see more full scholarships than the 85 to keep up with other programs.
