probably third ... as in three strikes and your out

Everybody took the failed drug test and ran with it. Not to mention, starting div. 1 free safeties are usually not excused for smokin' dope. Maybe he punched Nassib in the face.

And since PT's comments fits your anti-Marrone agenda you swallow it hook, line and sinker? Too funny.
first of all i never swallowed anything hook, line, and sinker; read my post. all i said was that is what he was saying to everyone about the drug test. the ... was used to break the comment about phil and talk about my opinion as to a major issue on the team, anyone can plainly see they did not like each other by the way they interacted. the offense and defense virtually refused to hang out together at parties, and they all had cliques based on positions. i am not anti-marrone, i think he's a decent coach with limited management skills trying to turn around a bottom dweller. i may be more critical than most, but there is a lot of criticism for to take after this season.

clappy,
I understand if you can't say much, but what is Phils and Coaches relationship? It seems to me as an outsider that Phil along with some of the other S.Florida guys have problems with him. I could be way off tho. Any insight would be appreciated.
i asked him, he said hes still cool with the coaches, that him and marrone get along..phil came back to cuse and had dougs blessing to enter the draft

The starting FS did not get suspended for a year for a first time single failed test.
Agreed but the team was split actually pretty much lost at half time of Uconn. You know as a parent you want to earn the respect of your kids. Fear motivation never last

just from what i've heard phil tell other people is that the test he had must have been a false positive and swears there was nothing in his system...i really think think this team just did not get along at all. that is a good sign that marrone's management skills are lacking or are not present at all
If it's a false positive then he'll certainly be vindicated by a retest. I think Doug Marrone's management skills are up to that.
But maybe it isn't a false positive and maybe it's all about Phil Thomas' management skills. It is his life, after all.

i wasn't talking about marrone's management skills as they pertained to the phil thomas situation...i was talking about his management skills as they pertained to the split between the team not getting along.

Gotcha. It is kind of surprising that a character-based program would have such turmoil. I hope it's only an isolated few bad apples.

That isn't management...that would be a leadership issue.

My gut feeling is this team had a locker room leadership issue not a coaching management issue.

But they're all HS captains!!!

Too many chiefs and no Indians (no offense to Native Americans). Issue with many organizations.
